Is the tutoring done in a group setting or one-on-one?

While we can accommodate either group or one-on-one tutoring, we highly recommend tutoring individually as we have found that personalized tutoring is better able to address the individual student’s needs. Your student’s strength may be another student’s weakness.

Do I need to book an appointment for an individual subject tutor? What about for the Study Center?

It is advisable to book an appointment with an individual tutor at least 24 hours in advance to secure the preferred subject, tutor, and time needed. Many students like to secure a regular schedule with their tutor of choice. We gladly accept same day appointments, however keep in mind that the preferred tutor or time may not be available.

It is not required to book an appointment for the Study Center, however notifying us of what subject(s) your student will be working on will ensure that we have a proctor available to assist. Many families plan specific days for their student(s) to attend the Study Center on a weekly basis, either on its own or as a supplement to their individual tutoring.

The environment, free of the distractions students might have at home, is very conducive to learning and studying. However, some of our tutors are available to come to students’ homes. You can call our office to inquire about this alternative, (818) 888-8665.
