Certified Professional Psychology (Regular/AP) Tutoring
Introduction to Psychology is offered at some high schools as a one semester course. AP Psychology is also available at some schools as a full year course, allowing students to earn college credit if they pass the AP test at the end of the school year. At its most basic level, Psychology is the study of human behavior. Studying Psychology can help people have insight into their own psyche as well as gain a greater understanding of others. The course will cover psychological principles, terminology, major theories, methods of experimentation and practical applications. At the AP level, students will closely examine the systematic and scientific study of human behavior and mental processes through inquiry-based investigations as they explore concepts like the biological bases of behavior, learning and cognition, motivation, developmental testing, treatment of abnormal behavior and social psychology.
Material learned in Psychology is challenging and different than curriculum in other more traditional high school courses. Synergy Academics tutors will help students understand the material and complete the homework assignments, reports and projects required as well as prepare for tests and quizzes, including the AP exam.
