Sociology Tutoring

Sociology is the study of social interaction, social organization, social institutions and social change. Students will learn how sociology views society and will be able to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the society in which they live. Topics explored will include explaining why people behave the way they do, and why they deviate from or conform to the norm. Students will also identify and explain the basic causes for human hatred and prejudice. They will understand the nature and variety of cultures in order to better understand their own.

The criteria that make up a student’s grade varies, but in general students should expect to be graded on the homework assignments as well as projects and essays, quizzes and tests, and the final exam.
